Extended Hours

There are late clinics available every Tuesday 18:30 – 20:00 when a GP, Minor Illness Nurse, Nurse and Health Care Assistant will be available for pre-booked consultations.

We offer these appointments to help those who find it difficult to attend during working hours.

The surgery will only be open during these late surgeries for patients who have booked appointments, not for the collection of prescriptions, test result, booking further appointments, general enquiries etc.

Staff Training Closure 23rd April 2024

We will be closed on the afternoon of Tuesday 23rd April 1.00pm to 6.00pm for staff training. If you have a booked appointment between 6.00pm and 8.00pm, please attend as we will be open for these clinics.

The surgery will re-open as normal on Wednesday 24th April at 8.30am.

If you require urgent medical help during this time that cannot wait until the next morning, please call 01736 363340 where your call will be directed to our message handling service.

As always, in the case of a life threatening emergency please dial 999. Thank you

When We Are Closed

NHS 111 is the Out of Hours service and will answer your call when the surgery is closed. They will take details of the problem and provide telephone advice if appropriate.  If you need to be seen, NHS 111 will arrange an appointment at a local hospital or visit you at home.  Please telephone 111 to contact NHS 111 when the surgery is closed.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

NHS 111 is free to call from landlines and most mobiles but pay as you go mobiles need to have at least 1p credit to call.

Do not misuse the Out of Hours or Ambulance Service for routine or trivial matters.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
