Dr Maria Patten is Retiring

After nearly 30 years in General Practice, I am retiring on 31st March 2024.  I have really enjoyed my time as a GP, it has been an absolute privilege looking after people’s health over the years.

My 10 years at Sunnyside have been very happy ones.  We have seen some difficult and challenging times and overcame them together as a resillient team.  The move to St Clare Medical Centre was a particular milestone and a great achievement by the practice, it certainly helped us manage the challenges we faced during the pandemic less than a year after moving in!

I leave you in the care of my excellent colleagues and I know you will be well looked after.  I plan to go off travelling in my camper van, spend more time tending to my beloved garden and aim to get my Parkrun 5k time below 30 minutes (again)!

Wishing you all the best.

Dr Maria Patten
